What is the Luminaries Ball?

What begins as a retirement party for a local professor suddenly, through a myriad of mysterious & magical happenings, becomes an invitation into a live action game. The winners proceed into the ecstatic world of the Luminaries Ball. The losers? Well, you’ll have to wait and see…

A multi-layered immersive experience, the Luminaries Ball invites participants to work together to solve a series of challenges and puzzles. The game begins as a clear contest of one side vs the other. However, as the competition progresses, dividing lines blur, multiple paths appear and deeper layers surface challenging each guest to wonder:

“Is this game what we’ve been told it is, or something else entirely?”

Designed as a prequel to Portal, the Luminaries Ball sets the stage for the full Portal adventure by introducing participants to a unique, magic-filled world. This world is brought to us by way of a mysterious band of beings called “The Luminaries”. Why are they here, what can we learn from them and what is the extraordinary secret that they plan to reveal?
